Dorothy K. Christman, beloved mother

Dorothy K. (Deloplaine) Christman, age 95, wife of the late Kenneth E. Christman Sr., of Wake Forest, N.C., and formerly of Pottstown, died Monday in the Hillside Nursing Center, Wake Forest N.C.
Born in Pottstown, Pa. she was the daughter of the late John N. and Laura V. (Oakes) Deloplaine. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Pottstown, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Schuylkill Chapter, #338, Pottstown. She was also a past member of the Order of the Amaranth, Pottstown, and the Century Club, Pottstown. Dorothy also loved sewing and reading.
Surviving is a daughter, Patty K. wife of Clifford Davis, of Wake Forest N.C., and a son, Kenneth E. Christman Jr., husband of Helen “Chrissy” Christman, of E. Coventry Twp. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Kenneth W. Christman, Amy Statzell, Brian Christman, Robin Zayas, Deirdre Osborn, Thomas Dawson Jr., Susan Dawson, Racheal Davis, and Melissa Freebern, along with 11 Great Grandchildren, and a Great Great Grandson. She was pre-deceased by a brother, John Deloplaine.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday at Catagnus Funeral Home, 711 N. Franklin St. Pottstown, with the Rev. Joseph Motz officiating. Burial will be Edgewood Cemetery, Pottstown. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Dorothy Diesinger, 90, devoted mother
|
Dorothy (Freas) Diesinger, 90, of Schwenksville, wife of the late Donald B. Diesinger, passed away on Thursday at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Bluebell, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Comfort and Mary Martha (Schultz) Freas.
Surviving are sons Raymond, Richard, Ronald, Russell and Daniel Diesinger; daughter Dorothy J. Diesinger, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son Robert Diesinger and sister Christina Pisarski.
During WWII, Dorothy was a riveter on Corsair Aircraft at a factory in Warminster, PA. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, shopping, and visiting with her family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 11AM at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Cherry Lane, Limerick. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 10Am to 11Am at the church.

Ella Louise McDonald, 69, of Pottstown

Ella Louise (Little) McDonald, 69, of Pottstown, wife of David E. McDonald of 44 years, passed away on Friday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Williamston, NC, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Ella Mae (Sproul) Little.
Along with her husband, she is survived by children Robin Yates of Pottstown, Robert L. Little, husband of Monique, of Las Vegas, Wendell E. Little of Clarksville, TN, Beverly L. McDonald of Pottstown, David “Skip” McDonald of Stowe, and Jill A. McDonald-Bright, wife of D’Andre, of Pottstown; sisters Mary Harris, Gayle West, Katie Johnson, Norma Davis, and Joyce Thrower; and brothers Thurman Pope and Calvin Magnum. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Lucille and Rosetta and her brothers Ernest, Robert and John.
Ella was a member of Invictus Church in Pottstown where she served on the usher board and pastoral support. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #87 Keystone Lodge. She worked for Montgomery County Geriatric Center for 10 years and at Tri-County Transit Service as a driver prior to her retiring. She enjoyed reading and gospel music, was an avid shopper and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 11 am at Invictus Church, 79 N. Hanover Street in Pottstown with Bishop Everett Debnam officiating. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends may call on Thursday from 10AM to 11AM at the church.

Jane Kreamer, loving mother and grandmother

Jane (Blaney) Kreamer, 80, of Pottstown, formerly of Schroon Lake, NY, wife of the late Frank J. Kreamer, passed away on Sunday at her residence with her family by her side.|
Born in Canton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Evelyn (Page) Blaney.
Surviving is son Mark D. Kreamer; daughters Andrea K. Kreamer and Valerie A. Slonaker; her brothers Harold D. “Chuck” Blaney and Gary Blaney; her sister Linda M. Blaney and granddaughter Jenel Slonaker. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by 2 sisters.
Jane was a faithful attendee and very active at the Berean Bible Church in Pottstown. She worked with Word of Life Fellowship Ministries in Schroon Lake, New York.
A memorial service is to be held at a later date in Bradford County.

Frank E. Neal, 75, husband of the late Allie (Harless) Neal, of Stowe, passed away on Saturday at his residence.
Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Geneva (Cotton) Neal.
Surviving are sons Jimmy Neal of Harrisburg, and Gregory Neal, husband of Crystal, of Birdsboro; daughter Janet Boyle, wife of Patrick, of Stowe; grandchildren Katie, Alania, and Kiersten Neal, and Sean, Collin, and Alison Boyle.
Frank was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Pottstown. He was also a member of the Pottstown Senior Center, the German Club, and the Association of the Blind. He worked for various YMCA’s for 52 years, working 17 of those years in Pottstown as a masseuse.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 10:30AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the funeral home.

Paul E. Tallman, 78, husband of the late Donna Jean (Annabel) Tallman, of Royersford, passed away on Thursday at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Lock Haven, PA, he was the son of the late Walter Fisher and Esther (Bartoff) Tallman.
Surviving are children Beth Meinert, wife of Matthew Meinert, of Toms River, NJ, Donald Tallman of Eagle River, Alaska, Jeff Tallman, husband of Diane, of Royersford, Walter Tallman, husband of Sally, of Knightdale, NC and Paula Sones, wife of Scott Sones, of Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by 5 siblings.
Paul was an Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends

Charles E. Turgeon, 70, of Pottstown

Charles E. “Chuck” Turgeon, 70, husband of Edith Eileen (Bauman) Turgeon, who he was married to 28 years, of Pottstown, passed away on Monday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Holyoke, Mass., he was the son of the late William and Germaine (Choquette) Turgeon.
Surviving with his wife are children Scot C. Turgeon, husband of Stacey, Lisa Pfeiffer, wife of A.J. Pfeiffer, Jay Turgeon, husband of Betsy, Lawrence Turgeon and Whitney Turgeon; brother William Turgeon, husband of Karen; sister Louise Lawrence, wife of Art; grandchildren Gabriel, Grant and Seth; and faithful dogs Rocko and Brownie.
Charles attended St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Pottstown. He was a 1955 graduate of Holyoke High School, and attended Holyoke Community College. He worked for Raytheon as a project manager; a job that took him all around the world. He lived in many countries with his favorites being New Zealand and Puerto Rico. His hobbies included gardening and bird watching. He enjoyed a glass of red wine with his family and was an avid football and John Wayne fan.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, 10AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will be private. Friends may pay respects on Saturday from 9AM to 10AM at the funeral home.

Alverda (Wolfe) Oppelt, 93, wife of the late Michael Oppelt, of Gilbertsville, passed away on Saturday at Manor Care in Pottstown.
Born in Finland, PA she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Annie (Geiger) Wolfe.
Surviving are her sons Gene Oppelt of Gilbertsville, Rayford Boulden, husband of Dorle, of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters Betty Peiffer, wife of Jack, of Birdsboro, and Judy Shorter of Norristown. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Alverda was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville.

Paul & Josephine Faithful Sr., of Douglassville

Paul E. Sr. and Josephine M. (Kozakowski) Faithful, both 86, of Douglassville, passed away Monday after an automobile accident.
Paul was born in Goldsboro, MD he was the son of the late Mary (Clark) Faithful, Josephine was born in Conshohocken, PA and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Stella (Greskovak) Kozakowski.
Surviving are their beloved children William Faithful, husband of Mary, of DE., Paul E. Faithful Jr, husband of Patricia, of Douglassville, and Stella Brunner, wife of John, of Birdsboro; grandchildren Maureen, Rhonda, Tina, Tracey, Lisa, Ginny, Jennifer and Joshua; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is Paul’s sister Maryellen “Peggy” Deaner and Josephine’s sister Francis Swoyer.
Paul was the Bishop and general overseer at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Pottstown for over 40 years. They both loved life and cherished their family. They will both be sadly missed.
Funeral services and interment are private.

Stanley W. Seitzinger Sr., age 85
|
Stanley Warren Seitzinger Sr., age 85, beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Hancher) Seitzinger, who passed away in November of 2008, of Manor Care, Allentown, and formerly of Emmaus and Gilbertsville Pa.., died Friday at the Lehigh Valley Hospice, in Allentown.
Born in St. Claire Pa., he was the son of the late Thomas Buchanan Seitzinger and Elsie (Froeschle) Seitzinger.
Mr. Seitzinger graduated from California State Teachers College, in California Pa., after serving in the U.S. Army in WWII. Before leaving for Europe he attended both Purdue University, and Texas A & M, while in the service. In Europe he served with the 78th Lightning Division, in the battle of Huertgen Forrest, the battle of Hachen, and the crossing of the Rhine River at the Remagen Bridge. He was awarded a Bronze Star.
He worked as an industrial arts teacher for 30 years, at the former Norco High School, and then for Owen J. Roberts School District. He also taught evening adult education at O.J.R., for a number of years.
He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Pottstown for 55 years. He was also a member of the George Amole Post American Legion #47, Pottstown. He was fond of sports, and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and gardening, and was also a talented craftsman and artist. Most importantly he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving is a son, Stanley W. Seitzinger Jr., of Gilbertsville, and two daughters, April M. wife of Joseph E. Parson, of Phila., and Karen A. wife of Rick Ossman, of Boyertown. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Zach, Joshua, and Matthew Haydt, along with Logan, and Gabrielle Ossman. He is also survived by a brother, Thomas R. Sietzinger, of Orwigsburg, Pa.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday in Christ Episcopal Church, 316 High St., Pottstown, with the Rev. Terry I. Highland, officiating.. Burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville Pa. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the church.

Carl D. “Bucky” Elvey, age 77, of James Creek Pa., died Friday at his daughter’s residence in Pottstown Pa.
Born in McConnellsburg Pa., he was the son of the late Roy and Minnie (Fix) Elvey.
He had worked as a welder for 30 years, retiring from the Naval Depot, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Carl was also a member of the Cumberland Pa. Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol wife of C. Scott Burnley, of Pottstown, Pamela Ford, of Stowe, and Karen wife of Robert Hunt, of Spring City, along with five grandchildren, James Laws, Jr, Gregory Hunt, Joshua Ford, Brandon Hunt, Shelby Burnley, and 2 great grandchildren, Aidan and Nicholas Laws. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Earl Elvey, and a sister, Doris J. Elvey.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 20, 2009, at 12 noon at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg Pa with the Rev. Dr. Theodore E. Kiffer officiating.

Kenneth R. Bowman, 88, husband of Nancy E.R. (Raudenbush) Bowman, of Royersford, passed away on Tuesday at Manor Care in Pottstown.
Born in Broadway, VA, he was the son of the late Shearer and Nelly (Grable) Bowman.
Surviving with his wife is their daughter Ronda B. Robinson, wife of Kenneth, of Hopewell, NJ; son Douglas A. Bowman, of Pottstown; grandchildren Jeremy and Joshua Robinson and Kenneth and Andrew Bowman; and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 5 siblings.
Kenneth was a member of The Bible Fellowship Church of Royersford. He was an elder, Sunday School Superintendent, usher, greeter, sang in the choir, and children’s worker. Ken was a WWII Army Veteran who served in the European Theater. He owned and operated Ken’s Upholstery and was a member of the “Messenger Quartet.”
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 10:30AM at The Bible Fellowship Church of Royersford, 431 N. Lewis Road with Rev. Jacob Susek Jr. and Dr. Kenneth A. Robinson officiating. Mario P. Cocci Sr., 86, husband of Teresa (DeNicco) Cocci of 59 years, of North Coventry, passed away on Saturday at Coventry Manor.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Pietro and Julia (Collina) Cocci.
Surviving with his wife are their sons Mario P. Cocci Jr of Green Hills, PA, David Cocci, husband of Theresa, of Exeter, Robert Cocci, husband of Justine, of Pottstown, Jeffrey Cocci, husband of Cyndi, of Pottstown; daughter Linda Feldman, wife of Randy, of North Coventry; brother Gene Cocci of Philadelphia; grandchildren Susan, Beth, Nicole, Joey, Robbie, Caitlin, Matthew, Emily, Michael, Jeffrey Jr., and Kathryn.
Mario was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Roman Catholic Church in Stowe. He was also a member of St. Gabriel’s Lodge and a life time member of West End Fire Co. in Stowe. Mario loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling, shuffle board and puzzles.

Paul E. Medunic Sr., 82, husband of the Dolores (Busch) Medunic and the late Madeline Medunic, of Limerick, formerly of Manayunk, PA, passed away on Friday at his home.
Born in Nemacolin, PA, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Mary (Petrovich) Medunic.
Surviving with his wife are his daughters Kathleen (Medunic) Bischoff of Pompano Beach, FL., Cheryl Ann (Medunic) Czerpak of Pottstown; son Paul Medunic of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren, 1 step daughter; 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Along with his first wife and parents, he is predeceased by his sons Michael and John Medunic, and 9 siblings.
Paul was raised in Crucible, PA. At the age of 16 he joined the Merchant Marines; at age 18 he joined the Marine Corp. and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. In 1950, he was honorably discharged. Paul was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church in Linfield, PA., and the American Legion in Mansfield, PA. He also enjoyed Hunting and Fishing.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 11AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta RC Church, 1228 Main Street, Linfield with Fr. Paul Brandt officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9AM to 10AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Edward A. Charnosky, 88, husband of Helen M. (Wychowanec) Charnosky to whom he was married to 58 years, of Royersford, formerly of Towson, MD, passed away on Sunday at Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home.
Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Blasaz) Charnosky.
Surviving with his wife are their daughters Susan Toppi, wife of Ray, of Schwenksville, Christine Charnosky of Lansdale, and Carol Matthai of Owings Mills, MD; son Michael Charnosky, husband of Dianne, of Annapolis, MD; grandchildren Michelle Koehler, David and Jonathan Toppi; and great grandchildren Brendan Price and Savannah and Emma Koehler. Also surviving are cousin, nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers John and Joseph Charnosky and Frank Kerns and sisters Agnes Young, Mary Dauksha and Stella Consevage.
Edward was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta RC Church. He was a WWII Army Medic Veteran receiving the Good Conduct Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge, WWII Victory Medal, a Purple Heart, the American Campaign Medal and the European, African, and Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars. He was a Chief Lab Technician at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD for 21 years, retiring in 1985. He also worked as a Lab Technician at the North Charles General Hospital in Baltimore, MD for 9 years. Edward loved to do pencil drawing. His drawings can be seen all over Parkhouse Nursing Home where he was given the nickname “The Artist”.

Heather L. Heuer, 24, passed away on Tuesday at Montgomery Hospital with her family and friends by her side.
Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of William A. Jr. and Bonnie (Krause) Heuer of Sassamansville.
Surviving with her parents is her fiancé Tom Vazquez and their children Giavonna and Tomas (TJ). Also surviving are her brothers Billy A. III and Jordan P. Heuer; her maternal grandmother Mary Lou Krause and her paternal grandparents William A. Sr. and Joyce E. (Faulkner) Heuer. She is predeceased by her maternal grandfather Paul Krause.
Heather enjoyed cooking and dancing. She loved outdoor recreations such as 4wheeling, snowmobiling and dirt bike riding.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 11AM at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville with Pastor Dave Lewis officiating. Burial will be private. Friends may call on Saturday, June 6 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church.
