Paul L. Pressede, 79 of Sanatoga

Paul L. Pressede, 79, husband of the late Martha Joyce (Osley) Pressede, of Sanatoga, passed away at his home on Thursday.
Born in Bryn Mawr, and formerly of Devon, PA, he was the son of the late Panfilo and Pasqua (Carlucci) Pressede.
He is survived by son Timothy P. Pressede, husband of Janice, of Sanatoga; daughter Lisa A. Albert of Geneva, FL; sisters Marie Scartozzi, wife of Cordine, of Berwyn and Rosalie Kiely, wife of Jack, of West Chester. Also surviving are grandchildren Chris and Mike Jusits, Melissa and Tim Pressede, and Michelle and Rebecca Albert. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Daniel Pressede and William and Richard DiVirgilio.
Paul was the manager for more then 50 years at the family run Hardware Center in Paoli. He was an Army veteran, enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Phillies fan.

Sharon C. Wagner, 61 of Pottstown

Sharon C. Wagner, 61, of Pottstown, died suddenly on Tuesday at her residence.
Born in Pottstown and formerly of Royersford, she was the daughter of the late C. Raymond and Joyce (Smoyer) Wagner.
She is survived by her sister Barbara, wife of Roland K. Gottshall, of Royersford, her brother Garry Wagner of Glendale, Arizona, and sister in law Leanna (Nester) Wagner, and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by a brother Jack Wagner.
Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Spring Ford High School. She worked as a receptionist for the Montgomery County District Attorneys Office in the Detective Bureau. She was also very active in helping out with the polls during election time.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 2, 11:30AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00AM to 11:15PM at the funeral home.

Anne C. Weinsteiger, age 85

Anne C. (Chesney) Weinsteiger, age 85, wife of the late Earl F. Weinsteiger, of Hoffmansville Rd., Bechtelsville Pa., passed away quietly on Monday in the Pennsburg Manor Nursing Home, Pennsburg, Pa.
Born in Palmer Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Kaczmarczyk) Chesney.
Surviving are two sons; Lance M. Weinsteiger, of Frederick Pa., and Mark J. Weinsteiger, of Dumont N.J., along with a daughter; Eloise W. Canzone, of New York, NY. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Zachary and Zoe Weinsteiger.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.

Francis J. “Frank” Schuler, beloved husband and father

Francis J. “Frank” Schuler, age 67, husband of Jill (Pollock) Schuler, of Wyomissing, Pa. and formerly of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., died Friday in the Reading Hospital.
Born in Somers Point N.J., he was the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Buzby) Schuler.
He worked for Haines & Kibblehouse, Silver Hill Quarry, Narvon Pa.
Frank was a member of Penton Owner’s Club of America, and was a vintage motorcycle enthusiast. He was a past President of the Pottsgrove Board of School Director’s, for 17 consecutive years, and a member from 1973 to 1991. Frank enjoyed high school football for many years.
Surviving with his wife of 42 years, are two sons; Kevin E. Schuler, of Phila., and Anthony E. husband of Andrea Schuler, of Covington Ga., along with a daughter; Maggie B. Schuler, wife of Benjamin Leuner, of Phila. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Esme Leuner, Joscelyn Snyder, and Braxton Weinhofer.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 711 N. Franklin St. Pottstown, with the Rabbi Michael Charney officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Maria Donko, 72 of Pottstown

Maria (Domjan) Donko, 72 of Pottstown, wife of Mihaly Donko, passed away on Monday at her residence after a battle with lung cancer.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, on Sept. 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Janos and Julia (Gyurics) Domjan.
Surviving with her husband is their daughter Susanne Kohalmi, wife of Paul, of Pottstown; granddaughter Adina Kohalmi, wife of Nicholas, of Pottstown and grandson Zsolt Kohalmi of Pottstown. Also surviving is a brother and a sister both in Budapest, Hungary.
Maria was a member of the Philadelphia and Vicinity Hungarian Sportsman Club (“Tanya”).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2:00PM at Limerick Garden of Memories Good Shepherd Mausoleum, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick with Rev. Sandor Meszaros officiating.

Cheryl L. Yocom, loved the beach

Cheryl L. (Manwiller) Yocom, age 64, wife of Robert L. Yocom, of Bassett Ct., Limerick, and formerly of Stowe, died Monday at PMMC.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Kathryn (Mauger) Manwiller.
She was a 1962 graduate of Pottstown High School, and then worked as a hairdresser in the Pottstown area for many years. Later in life, she also helped people as a child care provider.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Stowe.
Cheryl loved the beach, particularly Rehoboth Beach Del., along with all of her stuffed animals.
Surviving with her husband of 45 years, are two sons; Randy A. Yocom, of Stowe, and Jason T., husband of Anne-Marie Yocom, of Exeter Twp., along with a daughter, Jamie L. Yocom, of Stowe. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Devon, Christian, Cory, Natalie-Anne, J.T., Logan, and Alexis.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 2286 Hopewell Rd., Elverson Pa., with Pastor John Szymanski, officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 9 to 10:15 AM, at the church. Burial will be private in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.

John J. Deevy, 80, devoted husband, father, friend

John J. Deevy, 80, husband of the late Florence I. (Balchunas) Deevy, of Spring City, passed away on Thursday at his residence.
Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on April 17, 1929, he lived most of his life in Spring City. He was the son of the late Denis and Margaret (McCann) Deevy.
He is survived by his children Gail F. Deevy of Elverson, Joseph P. Deevy, husband of Laura, of Harleysville, Patricia L. Deevy, partner of Dan Annarino, of Lafayette, IN, John M. Deevy, husband of Daria, of Worden, IL., Sheila A. Deevy of St. Croix, James D. Deevy of Pottstown, and Mary E. Deevy of Spring City; his sister Theresa Deevy Wiand, wife of Stanley, of Spring City; and grandchildren Denise, Dominique, Paul, Finley, and Liam.
John was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Spring City. He graduated from Spring City High School in 1947. He served in the US Army in Europe during the reconstruction following WW II. He worked for many years as a truck driver at Roadway Express and at Jones Motor Company and he received the 1 Million Mile Safety Award twice. John also worked for Bechtel Power during the construction of the Limerick Power Plant. He was an avid Indy racing fan. A man of many skills, he dedicated much of his time to helping family & friends. Most importantly he will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father and friend.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 11:00AM, at St. Joseph RC Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City with Fr. Charles O’Hara officiating. Josephine A. Sroka, 82, loving mother

Josephine A. (Prusinowski) Sroka, 82, of Pottstown, wife of the late John G. Sroka, passed away peacefully on Friday at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born and raised in West Conshohocken, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Trczinski) Prusinowski.
Josephine was a member of the former St. Peters RC Church in Pottstown where she was a lifelong member of the Catholic Women's Guild. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Harriet Stapp in Pottstown, at Mrs. Smith’s Pie Co. and in the Prothonotary's office at the Montgomery County Court House until her retirement.She enjoyed life and the company of her family.
Surviving is her daughter Susan F. Wlazelek, wife of Chad, of Boyertown; granddaughter Lauren A. Wlazelek; and her sister Theresa Sachaczenski of Conshohocken. She is predeceased by five sisters and one brother.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10:30AM at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 9:30AM to 10:20AM at the church.

Gary Dennis Raser III, 23, beloved son and fiancé
|
Gary Dennis “G” Raser III, 23, fiancé to Jennifer Ann Pollinger, of Mohnton, passed away suddenly on Saturday.
Born in Reading, he was the son of Gary Dennis Raser Jr, husband of Lori, and Deborah (Heckrote) Glanski, wife of Philip.
Surviving with his fiancé and parents are sisters Bryhn and Erin Raser and brother David Glanski; maternal grandparents Harriet and David Heckrote and paternal grandfather Gary Dennis Raser Sr. He is also survived by a large extended family with many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by his extended family at Raser Industries and his beloved dog Zippy.He is predeceased by his paternal grandmother Richenda “Ginger” Raser.
Gary was a 2004 graduate of Holy Name High School in Reading. He was a member of the Holy Name football and baseball team, the Pagoda Motorcycle Club, the American Motorcycle Association and was an avid participant in the both junk car and motocross races. Gary was a member of ST. Benedict’s RC Church in Mohnton (Plowville) where he served as alter server until he graduated from Holy Name High School. Gary was employed at Raser Industries. He grew up at the steel fabricating shop. His mechanical aptitude and ability allowed him to develop into a first class welder and fitter, being certified in many different processes of welding. He developed into a project leader and oversaw various construction projects. He was loved and respected by his co-workers and customers and was commonly referred to as “G”. He was founder of “The Shed”, enjoyed boating, fishing and jet skiing and was looked up to by everyone as Mr. Fix-It. He could always be found fixing someone’s motorcycle at “The Shed”.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 16th at 11:00 AM at St. Benedict’s RC Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton (Plowville) with Fr. Philip F. Rodgers officiating. Sophia K. (Kobza) Dimon, 89, of Pottstown, wife of the late John Dimon, passed away on Sunday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of the late Michael Kobza and Mary (Stecysyn) Hanth.
Surviving are daughters Barbara J., wife of David “Jake” Mauger, of Pottstown, Patsy, wife of Dr. Michael Anastai, of Galloway, NJ, Joan Elliott of Auburn Mass., and Lyn wife of Sam Lowe, of Phoenix AR.; grandchildren Jean, wife of Michael Gauger, David Mauger V, companion of Jodi Fries, Michael Elliott, husband of Susan and Matthew Elliott, husband of Maureen; great grandchildren Michele, Rochelle, Jonelle and Robert Gauger, David, Dustin and Joshua Mauger, Jenna and Benjamin Elliott and Quintin and Parker Elliott, and 1 brother. She is predeceased by a brother and sister.

Miriam E. (Geisler) Schutt Devlin, age 86, wife of Francis J. Devlin, and the late Lynwood R. Schutt, of Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown, died Saturday in Chestnut Knoll.
Born in Boyertown, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Eva E. (Kulp) Geisler.
She worked many years ago at the Washington Elementary School, Bally, in the cafeteria, but was also a homemaker for many years. She loved to travel and also enjoyed sewing very much.
Surviving with her husband, are two sons: David B. husband of Barbara Schutt, of Ormond Beach Fla., and Thomas, husband of Darlene Schutt, of Bechtelsville. Also surviving is a brother; Elwood Geisler, of Boyton Beach Fla., and a sister; Ethel Eddinger, Bechtelsville, along with five grandchildren; Brian Schutt, Sheri Russell, Kevin Schutt, Lori Diachynsky, and Stacey McKinnon. She also has 8 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. She was pre-deceased by a brother; Robert Geisler.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Boyertown. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am, at the funeral home.

Frederick W. “Fred” White, 66, of Bechtelsville, husband of Anne M. (Buckwalter) White, passed away on Sunday at his residence.
Born in Barto, PA, he was the son Kermit Eschbach and the late Isabel (Caldicott) Eschbach.
Surviving with his wife are sons Brian White of MS, James Brannock, husband of Raquel, of Boyertown and Brian Brannock of Boyertown; 7 grandchildren; and step-mother Catherine Eschbach.
Frederick retired in 2005 from the Boyertown Foundry and enjoyed reading history books.
Service and interment are private.
