Jan-31 5:57am

I was privileged to work closely with Charlie Armstrong while I was employed by The Aerospace Corp. at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL, and to call him my friend. We worked together on two major spacecraft programs for over twenty years. I first met him while he was employed by the General Electric Co. at King of Prussia. Later, he transferred to the Cape, and the GE Co. transitioned through Martin Marietta to eventually become part of Lockheed Martin. Charlie was initially the Lead Spacecraft Electrical Engineer, then was deservedly promoted to Spacecraft Engineering Manager. He was arguably the most intelligent engineer that I worked with during my 44-year career, and I always highly respected his opinion. On top of that, he was a genuinely friendly person and an all-around great guy. I’m gonna miss you, Charlie!

I was so deeply saddened to hear of your passing. We shared many many hours of joyous times together - you were my dancing partner on TV in Miami and all the other dances we would go to -
Sunday at the beach on 71 street, Tuesdays/Thursdays at Bayfront Park Dances - Fridays at Hialeah, and Saturdays on TV - what joyous times we had. Years later we met again for your special personal tour of your beloved Pottstown that you always talked about - again dancing to the oldies but goodies - these are times I will always remember. I remember one Saturday, January 16th, when we were on TV and it was my birthday and Bobby Darin kissed me on my cheek - how we said I would never wash my face - but again you were my partner in that special birthday dance on my special day. January 16th was always a happy day for me, but now it will bring me sadness.
Your friend always. My deepest sympathy to your daughter and family. Cecile

I've known Richie nearly all my life so I met Mr. McNeill when I was a pretty young. I don't think that I have ever met anyone quite like him. I laugh every time I remember being in the kitchen on Colonial Park Drive, hearing him bark orders at the kids or give his mother-in-law the hardest time. Never knew what to make of it all. In the end, it turns out that what I make of it, is that Mr. McNeill knew who he was and chose to live it the way he wanted to. My sincerest condolences to Mrs. McNeill, Don, Rich and Kathleen.

Uncle Don always loved to have fun. He was the life of a party. He had a great sense of humor. I'll never forget his cannon balls in my parents' swimming pool and how he soaked all the old ladies (especially my Nana) sitting by the pool. Also the time he took my brother, sister, me, Kathy, Don, and Rich to a Phillies game and we were caught in a lot of traffic in the parking lot going home. Uncle Don decided to entertain us by rolling down the windows of the car and putting on a tape of John Phillip Sousa and blasting it. All the people around us in their cars were laughing and we were hysterical. On another occasion, there is no one in this world that would have put up with my terrible teenage driving. He was very patient with me when he was teaching me how to drive. He even stayed calm when I was driving on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic.
Uncle Don, I will truly miss you.
With much love,
Linda

I am sorry to hear about my Uncle's death, especially in this manner. I am more sorry that all the announcements neglected to mention my Mother and her other brother (Ellsworth "Butch" Sites) as surviving relatives. While relationships have always been tenuous at best, I know there was much love for their sibling.

Tom Heckert, Nephew to Ricky, son of Betty (Sites) Heckert.

To Amy and Michael

In life your dad chose not to know me as his brother and I honored that. He also chose not to know his sister or his mother. I had always hoped he would have changed his mind and came to me. Maybe someday we could get together and you could tell me about your dad. I would like to know about the brother I never had a chance to know and to know why he chose not to know me.

Ellsworth and Beverly Sites

Denise,

I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss of your mother. My thoughts are with you and your family.

When something like this occurs what moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why they left this earth so soon, or why they left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that they died, but that they lived. We remember that their life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Denise I am sure that you have many wonderful memories that you cherish and will be able to share with Nicole. Hold tight to memories for comfort.

May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time and the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.

Peace, prayers and blessings,

Kia

Gloria was a loving mother and was the greatest grandma. I know she was so excited for Nicole to become part of the family. I loved Gloria for never backing down from her personal thoughts. She was a strong and courageous woman before the disease, and I know that her attitude made her fight all that much stronger.
I loved her deep laugh, and it will be years before I forget the sound of her voice. I prayed for her everyday, and when I missed, I prayed twice. I feel sure that she is out of pain, and with her loving husband. God bless you all.

Dolores was my cousin and just two weeks
younger than I am. Her father ofcourse was
my uncle. I worked for my uncle for a year or so almost 50 years ago. I last talked to
Dolores at our family reunion in Aug. 09.
So sad to have another family member pass.
