Kyle was an amazing kid with a unique and lovable personality. He was truly one of a kind and always real to himself. As his teacher I saw him try out every hat and grow into a stronger person throughout his 8th grade year. Kyle will be missed and remembered forever by those who knew him, and to those who didn't: it's really a shame you'll have to wait.

I've known Kyle since sixth grade and have been in many of his classes through the years. Mrs Hettrichs class wasn't the same when he left. Kyle always seemed to make a bad situation better whether it was joking around or just saying it would be ok. That's what he said to me when my grandfather passed away last year. I will always remember him. He was an amazing friend and I am better person for knowing him. Thoughts and prayers for your family. May God bring you peace through this time.

I consider it an honor to say that John was my friend. He was a good father, husband, and friend. I will always remember the times that we spent with the scouts, watching Johnny wrestle, and the Army/Navy games. We had many laughs and good times over the years. I am going to miss him and will always remember him. He taught me a lot about having a positive outlook. He once told me that he tried every day to make at least one person happy. I know he accomplished that every day that I saw him – even the last time that I visited him in the hospital. To his family and loved ones, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Understand that you do not grieve alone. Our campfires are not going to burn as strong without John but the moon will be so much brighter as he looks down upon us all. And for my friend – go Navy beat Army.

Richard E. Barron II, 47, of Phoenixville

Richard “Rick” Barron, 47, of Phoenixville, entered into eternal rest on April 29, 2011 at home surrounded by his family and close friends after a courageous two-year battle with brain cancer.  He was the husband of Sandra McKillip Barron for 21 years.

Born in Coatesville, PA, Rick was the son of the late Richard E. and Patricia A. Barron.  He was a 1982 graduate of Octorara Area High School and received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Penn State University in 1986.  Rick worked in the IT consulting field for 25 years, providing technology services to many Fortune 500 companies.  While working at Andersen Consulting, SystemsLink, Ajilon Consulting, and most recently AETEA Information Technology, Rick was regarded as an inspirational manager and coach to his teams and was a well-respected leader among his colleagues.  He formed lifelong friendships with many of his coworkers.

Rick will be lovingly missed by everyone who knew him, but especially by his wife, Sandi, and his three children, Elli, Rachel and Tre, all living at home.  Rick’s love for his family was undeniable.  Trips to the Outer Banks, Penn State tailgates and Holiday gatherings were his favorite family moments.  Rick is also survived by two younger brothers, Mark W. Barron, husband of Vickie, of Millersville, PA and Shawn M. Barron of Lancaster, PA, and six nieces and nephews.

With the support of his family, Rick renewed his faith in God and became an active member of Royersford United Methodist Church where he often gave the children’s sermon.  Rick placed his trust in the Lord when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2009.  Never one to dwell on negative thoughts, Rick fought his illness with strength and determination and never lost hope.

Rick had a wide circle of close friends and neighbors with whom he enjoyed playing golf, traveling, entertaining at home, and attending sporting events.  Many of Rick’s friendships spanned decades, while others were new-found friends from church, work and the golf club.  These bonds of friendship were stronger than ever as he faced his biggest challenge, as evidenced by the never-ending stream of visitors and greeting cards during his illness.

A Christian funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Royersford United Methodist Church, 380 Church Street, Royersford, PA at 10:30am.  Rick’s family will greet friends at the Church from 9am until 10:15am.  Interment will take place at Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rick Barron’s name can be sent to Royersford United Methodist Church Youth Mission Trips, 380 Church Street, Royersford, PA, 19468 or to For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation at www.takeabreakfromcancer.org.
