Bruce “Turk” Gabel, 54, of Boyertown

Bruce “Turk” Gabel, 54, of Boyertown, husband of Lisa A. (Moyer) Gabel, of fifteen years, passed away Tuesday at his residence.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Marlene (Mensch) Houck, wife of Herbert F. Houck, and the late William H. Gabel.

Bruce was the president of the Boyertown Orioles and enjoyed spending time golfing.

Surviving along with his mother and wife is his brother Scott D. Gabel, husband of Yvonne of Barto; and his sister Doreen P. Spencer, wife of Dean of Boyertown.

A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, 1:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM-12:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bruce’s memory to The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Rd., Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.

I just heard about Turk's passing and like anyone who knew him, I am quite saddened. No matter how much time passed between times that we saw each other, he always greeted me with a smile. It is very hard to comprehend that he is gone. To Lisa, Scott and the rest of the families, please know that you have my sincerest sympathies.

Dorothy J. Adolfson, 78, of Boyertown

Dorothy J. (Kish) Adolfson, 78, of Boyertown, wife of the late John A. Adolfson, passed away on Sunday at the Mifflin Center in Shillington.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Wanda M. (Biginski) Kish.

Dorothy loved to play bingo and visiting casinos and was a member of the local pinochle club. She loved spending time with her grandson who affectionately called her “Gran”.

She is survived by her son James Dougherty, husband of Elizabeth, of Twin Lakes, CO, her daughter Donna Acker of Reading and her grandson John James Acker. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brother Joseph Kish and her sister Florence Dolansky.

A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Phila Ave., Gilbertsville. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Ft. Indiantown National Cemetery.

Mary I. (Novak) Pyron, 88, of Pottstown

Mary I. (Novak) Pyron, 88, of Pottstown, wife of the late Winford A. Pyron, passed away Thursday at Manor Care, King of Prussia.

Born in Stowe, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Novak.

Mary was a devout member of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Stowe.

Surviving is son Arthur J. Pyron, sisters Anna Lucas and Margaret Canceliere, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Memorial Fund, 127 E. Howard St., Stowe, PA 19464.

Robert Stern Nester, 90, of Boyertown

Robert Stern Nester, 90, of Boyertown, formerly of Ringing Hill, husband of the late Janette T. (Neiman) Nester, passed away on Friday at Chestnut Knoll Assisted living, Boyertown.

Born in Ringing Hill, he was the son of the late Robert and Alice (Evans) Nester.

Robert was a WWII Army veteran who fought in 5 invasions though out the South Pacific where he received many ribbons with multiple bronze stars. He was a member of St. John Hill Church and the Gablesville Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed fishing in the Delaware Bay, Hunting in Huntington and was a former golfer.

Surviving is his son R. Jay Nester, husband of Gwen, of Boyertown; his daughters Karen Kozak, wife of Frank, of Lewes, DE and Jan Baver, wife of Brian, of Boyertown; his brother Stern Nester of Pottstown, his sister LeAnna Wagner of Pottstown; grandchildren Jamie and Chad Kozak, Taryne Carey and Jarett Baver, and great grandchildren Addyson Hornak and Evan Carey. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his sisters Elanor Yergey and Georgieanna Price.

A Funeral service will be Thursday, 11:00AM at St. John Hill Church, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown with Rev. Barry Moyer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at the church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Boyertown.

Memorial donations may be made in Robert’s name to St. John Hill Church, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown, PA 19512 for the upkeep of the church.

Harry R. “Ricky” Drey Jr., 59, of Boyertown

Harry R. “Ricky” Drey Jr., 59, of Boyertown, passed away on Thursday at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Harry R. Drey Sr., and the late Ruth J. (Matthews) Drey.

Before becoming ill, Ricky enjoyed dancing and singing, he loved camping and swimming and would help out with the cleaning around the house. He was a beloved son and brother and will be sadly missed.

Surviving with his father are his sisters Sharon Grabusky of Boyertown, Linda Cisowski if Wilmington, DE, Barbara McMullen of Reading, Susan Billinger of Denver, CO and Terry Davidheiser of Boyertown.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville with Rev. John Smolick officiating. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at the funeral home.

Nancy A. Smith, 82, beloved sister

Nancy A. (Eisaman) Smith, 82, formerly of Bell Acres, wife of the late Wilbert K. Smith, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Pottstown, PA.

Born in Greensburg, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Sweeny and Mary Ellen (Miller) Eisaman.

Nancy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Coraopolis and enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by her siblings Mary Jane Handley of Columbus, OH, Richard Glenn Eisaman of Winter Park, FL and Elizabeth E. Delany of Limerick, PA., and a step-son Richard Smith of Sewickley, PA.  Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister Barbara E. Edger.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 22 at Zion Lutheran Church,1305 State Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.

Surviving is her son Peter C. Madeja of Villanova; her daughter Joni A. Bingham of Boyertown; sister Nancy Mohn of Williamsburg, VA; and grandchildren Chad Mackey, Alyse Bingham and Davis Madeja.

Dorothy M. Reidenauer, 91, of Gilbertsville

Dorothy M. (Scheetz) “Dot” Reidenauer, 91, of Gilbertsville, wife of the late William “Russ” Reidenauer, passed away on Saturday at her home.

Born in Douglassville, she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel (Kirby) Scheetz.

Dorothy was a life member of New Berlinville Fire Company. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved being outside in her garden. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her son James A. “Art” Reidenauer, husband of Marie and her daughter Eva I. Minninger; grandchildren Christine J. Reazor, Robert A. Minninger, Donna J. Zeleznick; step-granddaughter Angeline Lucas; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son in law Paul R. Minninger.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 10:30Am at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30AM to 10:15 AM at the funeral home.

Dr. Cary W. Woodman, Sr., 65, of Barto

Dr. Cary W. Woodman, Sr., 65, of Barto, husband of Christine L. (Brightbill) Woodman, passed away Thursday at The University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born in Mobile, Alabama, he was the son of the late Charles and Lucille (Campbell) Woodman.

Cary was an avid follower of military history. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dogs.

Surviving along with his wife is step-son Kenneth Bealer, husband of Shauna of Boyertown; step-daughter Karieann Bealer, wife of Chris Garges of Schwenksville; adopted daughter Marta Arrano of Chile; sisters Margaret (Sally) Woodman of Long Island, NY; Astra (Toni) Weitzel, wife of David of California; and seven grandchildren.

Including his parents, Cary was predeceased by two sisters, one brother, and his step-son Brad A. Shaner.

A funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 – 10:45 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Mary Ann (Istvan) Hennessy, 79, of Royersford, formerly of Edison, NJ, passed away Thursday at her residence.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary B. (Bernat) Istvan.

Mary Ann was a Christmas enthusiast who collected Santa’s, as well as glass and china decorations. She retired from Rutgers University where she worked for many years.

Surviving are daughters Sharleen Deshpande, wife of Shekhar of San Diego, CA, Lynda Kenny, wife of William of Villanova, PA, Karen Pellecchia, wife of Chris of Brick, NJ; son-in-law Daniel Knezevich; grandchildren Ryanne, Ashley, Benjamin, David, Sarah, and Diana.

David E. Peel, 67, of Oley, formerly of Phoenixville, passed away Monday at his residence.

Born in Marsteller, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary (Corson) Peel.

David was a life member of West End Fire Company, Phoenixville and also a member of the Pike Township Sportsmans Association. He particularly loved to vacation in upstate Pennsylvania.

Surviving is son Keith, husband of Tracey of Oley; granddaughter Virginia; daughter Michelle of Phoenixville; brother Othar “Beanie”; and sisters Edna, Eleanor, Stella, and Helen.

Dale E. Biever, 75, of Boyertown

Dale E. Biever, 75, of Boyertown, husband of Catherine (Keller) Biever, passed away on Sunday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Mildred (Fisher) Biever.

Dale served in the military with the PA National Guard in the early 1960’s. He was a respected teacher of Social Studies in the Boyertown Area High School until his retirement in 1993. Dale was involved in many endeavors including Registrar of the Civil War Library and Museum in Philadelphia, also contributions of archeological discoveries at the Ephrata Cloisters. Dale was chosen to receive the Distinguished Fellow Service Award by The Company of Military Historians in 2004. He also served with pride as an active member of the Boyertown Civil Air Patrol.

Surviving with his wife of 53 years are 2 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Lt. Col. Scott Biever.

A memorial Service will be held on Friday. 11:00AM at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA 19525 with Pastors David Lewis and Gil Vining officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00Am to 11:00AM at the church. Burial will be private.

Evelyn V. Dasch, 83, of Pottstown

Evelyn V. “Deb” (Gaughan) Dasch, 83, of Pottstown, wife of the retired District Judge Charles A. Dasch, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ranshaw, she was the daughter of the late P. Joseph and Edna (Sherman) Gaughan.

Evelyn was a member of Johnston City Methodist Church in Ranshaw where she was the first member to be baptized there. She also attended Wesleyan Christian Church in Pottstown. In the early 1960’s she was a registrar of Vital Statistics for Pottstown District. Evelyn was a beloved, devoted wife and mother and friend to all she met.  Her extraordinary cooking and baking skills were a marvel to everyone she so generously shared her gifts with.  Her great heart filled with love, compassion, kindness and wisdom had no boundaries.

Surviving with her husband of 63 years are daughters Deborah A. Pennebacker, wife of David, of Cammal, and Charlene S. Smith, wife of Mark C., of Pottstown;  brothers Paul J. Gaughan, husband of Dorothy, of Ranshaw and James E. Gaughan of Elmira, NY; grandson John C. Balogh, husband of Kristin; and great grandchildren Riley Evelyn and McKinley Chene Balogh. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Allen Miller, Robert Reismiller, Diane Nagle, Nancy Gross, Lois Montelone, Lori Deegan and John Hunter; brother in law Marlin Miller of Pottstown, her faithful canine friend and companion Mady and a host of great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Leona Reismiller, Diane Hunter, Betty Gaughan and Elaine Miller and her beloved niece Pamela J. Gaughan.

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, 11:00AM at the Johnson City United Methodist Church, 200 Main Street, Ranshaw, with Rev. Zachary Hopple and Rev, Beverly Petrovich officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shamokin.  Visitation will be on Friday from 6:00PM to 7:45PMat Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Evelyn V. “Deb” (Gaughan) Dasch, 83, of Pottstown, wife of the retired District Judge Charles A. Dasch, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Ranshaw, she was the daughter of the late P. Joseph and Edna (Sherman) Gaughan.

Evelyn was a member of Johnston City Methodist Church in Ranshaw where she was the first member to be baptized there. She also attended Wesleyan Christian Church in Pottstown. In the early 1960’s she was a registrar of Vital Statistics for Pottstown District. Evelyn was a beloved, devoted wife and mother and friend to all she met.  Her extraordinary cooking and baking skills were a marvel to everyone she so generously shared her gifts with.  Her great heart filled with love, compassion, kindness and wisdom had no boundaries.

Surviving with her husband of 63 years are daughters Deborah A. Pennebacker, wife of David, of Cammal, and Charlene S. Smith, wife of Mark C., of Pottstown;  brothers Paul J. Gaughan, husband of Dorothy, of Ranshaw and James E. Gaughan of Elmira, NY; grandson John C. Balogh, husband of Kristin; and great grandchildren Riley Evelyn and McKinley Chene Balogh. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Allen Miller, Robert Reismiller, Diane Nagle, Nancy Gross, Lois Montelone, Lori Deegan and John Hunter; brother in law Marlin Miller of Pottstown, her faithful canine friend and companion Mady and a host of great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Leona Reismiller, Diane Hunter, Betty Gaughan and Elaine Miller and her beloved niece Pamela J. Gaughan.

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, 11:00AM at the Johnson City United Methodist Church, 200 Main Street, Ranshaw, with Rev. Zachary Hopple and Rev, Beverly Petrovich officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shamokin.  Visitation will be on Friday from 6:00PM to 7:45PMat Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown, with a prayer service to follow at 8:00PM and on Saturday from 10:00AM to 10:45 AM at the church in Shamokin.

Matthew B. Pypniowski, 34, beloved husband, father and son

Matthew B. Pypniowski, 34, of Gilbertsville, New Hanover Twp., formerly of South Bound Brook, NJ, husband of Karen A. (Kaszycki) Pypniowski, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10.

Born in Fall River, Mass., he was the son of Kenneth R. and Beverly C. (McInville) Pypniowski of Trumbauersville.

Matthew was a volunteer at the Gilbertsville Fire Co. He was a former member of the North Penn Gun Club and Perkasie Owls Nest 1224. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and going to the beach. But most important to him was his family and spending time with them.

Surviving with his wife of 13 years and parents are daughters Haley and Jayden; his Mother-in-law Carol A. Kaszycki of Gilbertsville and the family dogs Jewel and Roxy. He is predeceased by his Father-in-law Anthony S. Kaszycki, Jr.

A Memorial service will be on Thursday, 6:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00PM to 5:45PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Elizabeth M. Mason, 78, of Boyertown, Beloved by all

Elizabeth M. “Liz” (Dix) Mason, 78, of Boyertown, wife of the late Carvil S. Mason III, passed away on Thursday at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edgar O. and Olive C. (Jett) Dix.

Elizabeth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pottstown. She was a die hard Phillies fan, and enjoyed camping and scrapbooking. Elizabeth was deeply passionate about her family. She followed her grandchildren and great grandchildren through Boyertown baseball and football programs, right into college. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.

Surviving are sons C. Steven Mason IV, husband of Debra, of Boyertown and Marc S. Mason, husband of Donna M. Marino, of Mohnton; her brother Gordon L. Dix, husband of Lorna, of Baltimore, MD; her sister Phyllis A. Cusick, wife of Melvin, of Boyertown; grandchildren Steven D. Mason of Scranton and Corey S. Mason, husband of Erin P., of Boyertown; great grandchildren Quinn D., Cole J., Cash W., and Brandon C. Mason; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter Stephanie V. Mason, brother Robert O. Dix and grandson Brandon S. Mason.

Maureen J. Daly, 75, of Stowe

Maureen J. (Rapolla) Daly, 75, of Stowe, formerly of Clifton, NJ, wife of the late Leo Daly, passed away on Tuesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Carmen Sr. and Josephine (Martone) Rapolla.

Maureen was a volunteer at the gift shop at Pottstown Hospital. She enjoyed sporting activities, going to the casinos and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are sons Patrick M. Daly, husband of Joan, of Stowe and Thomas R. Daly, husband of Regina, of Caldwell, NJ; sister Margaret Holster and grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Kimberly, Jack and Reagan. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter Joanie Daly and brother Carmen Rapolla Jr.

Frank C. Buttaro, Sr., Beloved father and grandfather

Frank “Shoeshine” Buttaro, Sr., 87, widow of Margaret (Stigura) Buttaro, passed away at home on February 4, 2012 with his family by his side.

Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Frank Buttaro and Justina (Forte) Buttaro.

He is survived by 3 sons, Frank, Jr. and his wife Louise of Pottstown. David, and his wife Cheryl, of Pottstown. Ron, of Boyertown. Daughter Lori McGeehan, and her husband Kenny of Douglassville and Sue Boettlin, and her husband Scott, of Pottstown, with whom he resided. Grandchildren, Michael Buttaro, Peter Buttaro, Frank Buttaro III, Nicholas Buttaro, Lindsay Buttaro, Rachel Buttaro, Ryan Buttaro, Mason Buttaro, and Margo McGeehan. Last living child of nine, he was preceded in death by brothers, John, Emilio, Daniel, Gaetano, and Edward Buttaro. And sisters Rose Buttaro, Clotilda McGinn, and Concetta Meszros.

Frank was a WWII Veteran who served in the 778th Battalion, starting at the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for Doehler-Jarvis for 32 years and retired in 1986. Frank was a member of the Pottstown Area Senior Center, he was a member of the former Maria Assunta Lodge, where he ran bingo for several years. He was a 3rd degree, father bally council, Knights of Columbus. He was also a past president of local musicians association, Pottstown.

He enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles, and spending time with his family. He loved music and dancing. He was loved and cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Pottstown. Burial will follow at St. John’s Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 8:30-10:15 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to the Pottstown Area Senior Center, Building Fund, 724 N. Adams St., Pottstown, PA 19464.

Thomas T. Zinzel, 92, of Gilbertsville

Thomas T. Zinzel, (Tim) 92, of Gilbertsville, formerly of Palm Coast Fl., husband of the late Ruth L. (Cumberland) Zinzel, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Lucas) Zinzel.

Tim proudly served as a Master Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy, retiring in 1966 with twenty-six years of service. His service to God and Country continued as a lifetime member of both the VFW and Knights of Columbus, where he obtained his 4th degree. Tim’s last nine years were spent enjoying his family and new found friends while living with his daughter Mary. He enjoyed many first time experiences upon the return to his home state. Tim was fondly called “Romeo” and “Loverboy” because of his great sex appeal. His favorite saying was, “I’m a lover not a fighter” and he lived with that thought every minute of his life.

Surviving is son Robert Zinzel of Upper Darby; daughters, Christine Beck of Harrisburg, Catherine Neeson of Aston, Mary Snyder of Gilbertsville, Ruth Ann Myers of Oregon, fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents he is predeceased by four sisters and six brothers.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7, at ST. Columbkill RC Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown with Fr. Martin Kern officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville. Burial will be on March, 20, 9:00AM at Arlington National Cemetery, VA with full military honors.

James H. Herrold, 70, of Boyertown, wife of Doris J. (Maeder) Herrold, and the late Violet (Johnson) Herrold, passed away Sunday at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Henry B. and Ruth T. (Laubach) Herrold.

James was an active member of New Life Bible Fellowship Church in Oley, as well as Promise Keepers, and Gideons. He also served as a driver for the American Cancer Society.

Surviving along with his wife Doris are daughters Karen Lorch, wife of James of MI, Konni Brillhart, wife of Daniel of York, Kendra Mauger, wife of Todd of Fleetwood, Kerri Doherty, wife of Derrick of NJ, and Robin Kurzweg, wife of Duane of Fleetwood; son Mark Maeder, husband of Cindy of SC; fifteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Michael J. Olock, 83, of Lower Pottsgrove

Michael J. Olock, 83, of Lower Pottsgrove, formerly of Stowe, passed away on Tuesday at the Coatesville VA Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Holub) Olock.

John was a member of ST. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Pottstown. From an early age he exhibited a passion and talent for music playing his beloved bass fiddle for 68 years. Mike also enjoyed dancing during his retirement years. He was a former president of the Pottsgrove Boosters Club and was a familiar face for many years at Pottsgrove sporting events. He was the unofficial mayor of the Pottstown McDonald’s, where he spent many mornings after he retired with his dear friends. Mike proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Ogden Foods at the former Doehler-Jarvish Company in Stowe. He later worked as a custodian for the Pottsgrove School District. Mike was also a Pottstown High School graduate.

Surviving are his sons Michael D. Olock of New London, CT. and Robert J.  Olock, husband of Ruthanne, of Boyertown; daughters Grace Ann Olock of Lower Pottsgrove and Rita G., wife of Alan Ebersole II, of Pottstown; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Along with his parents he is predeceased by his 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10:30AM at ST. Aloysius RC Church, Hanover & Beech Street, Pottstown, with Fr. Joseph Malony officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at the Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown , and on Tuesday from 9:30AM to 10:15AM at the church. Matthew A. Kramer, 54, of Royersford

Matthew A. Kramer, 54, of Royersford, passed away Monday at the Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Wanda (Swist) Kramer.

Matthew was a devout Catholic who served as a Eucharistic Minister and traveled to Medjugorje in reverence of The Blessed Mother. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was a graduate of Spring Ford High School and worked at American Machine and Tool in Royersford.

Surviving are brothers Joseph T. Kramer, husband of Carol Ann of Royersford, and Edward L. Kramer, companion of Judy of Boyertown; sisters Sondra Reilly, wife of Kirk of Schwenksville, and Mary Kramer of Phoenixville; and his loving companion Lorraine Rocci.

Including his parents, Matthew was predeceased by his brother Charles J. Kramer, and his sister Charlotte A. Howard.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 3, 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 838 Walnut St., Royersford, PA 19468. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Friday, February 3 from 9:30-10:15 AM at the Church.

John F. “Jack” Matz, 75, of Lazy K Campground, passed away Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit.

Born in Fagleysville, he was the son of the late William F. and Kathryn (Houston) Matz.

John graduated from Boyertown High School in 1954 and then served in the United States Army.

Surviving is brother Richard E. Matz; four sisters Kathryn M. Thiel, Agnes L. Parker, Dorothy L. Moser, and Nancy A. Pedersen; and many nieces and nephews.
