Devon Barrett, 31

Devon Barrett, 31, of Gilbertsville, husband of Nicole (Meyer) Barrett, passed away suddenly on Friday March 29, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of John and Lisa (Ferraro) Barrett.

Devon was a long time resident of North Wales, PA where he was a beloved member of the Lansdale Catholic High School community. During his time as a student there, he was a standout athlete on both the lacrosse and football fields, earning All Catholic honors in both sports. In addition, he was presented the Sportsman of the Year Award for Southeastern Pennsylvania during his senior year. Devon then continued his athletic career at Assumption College playing football for the Greyhounds and majoring in Organizational Communication and minoring in Art. After graduation, Devon was an integral member of his family business where he was able to demonstrate both his passion for art and carpentry and his love of family.

Devon had a special zest for life. He enjoyed each moment to its fullest and was a bigger than life personality. His hot sauce collection was unmatched and he never met a person who didn't become a friend. Devon was a fan of all facets of life. From cooking new foods to competing in Spartan races to riding a unicycle, he was up for a new challenge and found excitement in each day. He was always ready to enjoy those he loved and make memories together.

An amazing human being who could just light up the darkest rooms. I never felt like anything was ever that bad when he was around and the way he believed in people was exceptional. He just put everyone at ease which really makes this hurt even more.
