Joyce Fenyus Blankhorn, 92, of Oaks, wife of the late Larry Blankhorn, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at Paoli Hospital.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Hannah (Overdorf) McFarland.
Joyce loved her savior, Jesus Christ, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Berean Bible Church where she was actively involved with the Senior Adult Ministry (S.A.M.). Joyce worked for the USPS as a Postmaster in Oaks and helped create the zip code system used across the United States. She prayed faithfully for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and often shared that is why God had given her such a long life. She was an avid knitter and loved her poodles.
Surviving is her daughter Margot Cushing wife of the late Bruce; grandchildren Joshua Cushing husband of Sarah and Marissa Hadley wife of Jason; great grandchildren Josiah, Liliana, Novalee, and Killian Cushing, Madelyn and baby Hadley; daughter-in-law Mary Fenyus; and brothers Everett McFarland husband of Dorothy and Charles McFarland husband of the late Joanne.
Along with her husband, Larry, and parents, Joyce was predeceased by her first husband Joseph James Fenyus and son Joseph Scott Fenyus.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held Thursday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the funeral home.
