Joanne M. Short, 84

Joanne M. (Geisler) Short, 84, wife of the late Edward O. Short, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Einstein Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Emily (Hoffman) Geisler.

Joanne enjoyed working in her flower garden and feeding the birds. She loved watching Phillies games. Joanne played the piano at church throughout the years. She loved her family deeply and lived her life with very strong faith in the Lord. Joanne was a fantastic cook and enjoyed making homemade meals for her family. In her earlier years, she liked riding motorcycles with her husband, Edward.

Surviving are her children Edward Short, husband of Diane; Stephen Short, husband of Janet; Gail McDonald, wife of Sonny; Melissa Perich, wife of Nicholas; and Kathleen Lebon, wife of Richard; brother Richard Geisler, husband of Pat; grandchildren Edward, Heather, Stephen Jr., Ryan, Eric, Andy, Julia, Nick II, John, Charlie, and Nicole; great grandchildren Madline, Nicky III, Lexi, Kelsey, Lily, Cain, and Ayden. She is predeceased by her brothers Linwood Geisler and Reynold Geisler.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464) with Rev. Eugene Zaiser officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.

Joanne was our wonderful neighbor for awhile then our friend through the years.

A wonderful wife and mother... I have good memories of times at UPRA swimming pool and sleepovers at the Shorts' house...love is strong, love lives on.
