Robert L Henke, age 81, passed peacefully at home in Boyertown, April 14, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Bob grew up in Morgan Hill, CA, and spent 35 years with Bechtel Corp as a welding/piping superintendent. His profession allowed he and his family to see much of the United States from Florida to the Alaskan pipeline. He retired in Richland, WA and then with a desire to be near family moved back to Boyertown. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman, pursuing game in the US, Canada, and Argentina. Bob also had a passion for cooking and gardening and sharing his bounty and recipes. Bob was a lifetime supporter of Ducks Unlimited and a member of South Valley Masonic Lodge #187, El Katif Shrine, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 154, and International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Lodge 169. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Genie, son, Bob Henke, Jr and his wife, Chris, and daughter, Sue Harrison, as well as five grandchildren, Jillian, Celia, Layne, Brynn and Clay. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Morgan Hill, CA.
