M. Delores “Dee” Ludman, 90

M. Delores “Dee” (Gardner) Ludman, 90, wife of the late Albert E. Ludman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Frederick Living.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Miriam (Bull) Gardner.

Dee and her husband were very involved with the Telephone Pioneers of America. She helped initiate the Hug-A-Bear Foundation. Dee enjoyed cake decorating, sewing and watching the Phillies play. She was a very active member at Valley Forge Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children Debra Yates, wife of the late Gregory; Glenn Ludman, husband of Rebecca; grandchildren Jennifer DiArenzo, wife of Michael; Lindsay Black, wife of Eric; Taylor Ludman; and Annaliese Ludman; great grandchildren Hailey DiArenzo, Elliot DiArenzo; Cailyn Black; and William Black; and many extended family members. She is predeceased by her sister Virginia Huber.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11:00AM at Valley Forge Baptist Church (616 S Trappe Rd, Collegeville, PA 19426). A viewing will also be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at the church. Burial will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Forge Baptist Church, the National Wildlife Federation (https://support.nwf.org/), or to the Yellowstone Foundation (https://www.yellowstonenationalpark.com/yellowstoneparkfoundation.htm) in Delores’ name.

My deepest sympathies on the passing of your mother. Glenn, we work together a while now and I saw how you cared for your mom. I’m sure it gave her great comfort seeing what a good man she raised.
