Angeline J. (Kuback) Jendrus, 90, of East Coventry Twp., wife of the late Charles E. Jendrus, passed away on Monday, Aug. 19 at Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jennie (Jasica) Kuback.
Angeline graduated from North Coventry High School, where she was a member of the female basketball team. Angeline worked for many years as an optician at Flair for Vision and Sears Optical. Additionally, she owned and operated Chesmont Optical in Downingtown. Angeline was a member of the National Academy of Opticianry and a member of the former St. Clare Roman Catholic church in Linfield, PA. She was an avid reader, loved the responsibility of maintaining the beauty of her garden, was infatuated with birds, enjoyed traveling cross country and to the Caribbean.
Surviving is daughter Susan Jones, wife of Marvin; grandchildren Joel Jendrus, Tammy Jones and Kevin Jones, husband of SuGinia; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved Shih-Tzu, Katie. She is predeceased with her husband, parents, and siblings John Kuback, Verna Renninger, Jean Rhoades, and Ann Nester.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 23, 9:30AM at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 322 S 5th St, Reading, PA 19602. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading. Visitation will be Friday from 8:30AM to 9:15AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Angeline’s favorite non-profit organizations: Chester County ASPCA and the National Wildlife Federation.
