Arline (Dames) Hofheinz Bliem, 89, daughter of the late Gladys and Paul E. Dames, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at her home in Plantation, Florida.  Arline was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania where she lived until moving to Florida.  Arline was a very outgoing social person. She was an active member of both church and service organizations while living in Pottstown. As far back as a teenager, she won the Miss May and Miss Rehoboth Beach titles. Arline worked for the vice president of Pottstown Memorial Medical Center for 17 years. Volunteering was second nature to Arline, always available for someone in need.  Whether it was a family member, friend, or even a stranger, she would be there for you. She loved life and enjoyed every minute. Among her favorite activities were visiting the New Jersey shore, sitting in the sun, shopping, (Talbots was her favorite store), and spending time with family and friends.

Arline is predeceased by her late husband, Donald Bliem.  She is survived by two sons from a previous marriage to Carl M. Hofheinz, C. Robert Hofheinz and his wife Sherry Hofheinz of Marco Island, Florida and David E. Hofheinz and his wife Lorraine Hofheinz of Davie, Florida; grandchildren Denise Simcox, wife of Nathan Simcox, of Boothwyn; Andrea Barton, wife of Brant Barton of Austin, Texas and Kevin Hofheinz of Davie, Florida; great grandchildren, Alex, Zack, Emily and Tyler Simcox and Naomi and Evan Barton; and her sister, Leatrice Egolf, of Lewis, Delaware.

Also surviving are her late husband’s children, Stacey (Bliem) Allen, her husband Scott Allen, and their son, Peyton, of Collegeville, and Doug Bliem, his wife Francesca, and their children Mia and Beau, of Collegeville.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012, 12:30PM at the Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday, June 9, from 11:30AM to 12:15PM at the funeral home.
