Charles E. “Chuck” Turgeon, 70, husband of Edith Eileen (Bauman) Turgeon, who he was married to 28 years, of Pottstown, passed away on Monday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Holyoke, Mass., he was the son of the late William and Germaine (Choquette) Turgeon.

Surviving with his wife are children Scot C. Turgeon, husband of Stacey, Lisa Pfeiffer, wife of A.J. Pfeiffer, Jay Turgeon, husband of Betsy, Lawrence Turgeon and Whitney Turgeon; brother William Turgeon, husband of Karen; sister Louise Lawrence, wife of Art; grandchildren Gabriel, Grant and Seth; and faithful dogs Rocko and Brownie.

Charles attended St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Pottstown. He was a 1955 graduate of Holyoke High School, and attended Holyoke Community College. He worked for Raytheon as a project manager; a job that took him all around the world. He lived in many countries with his favorites being New Zealand and Puerto Rico. His hobbies included gardening and bird watching. He enjoyed a glass of red wine with his family and was an avid football and John Wayne fan.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, 10AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will be private. Friends may pay respects on Saturday from 9AM to 10AM at the funeral home.
