Dennis W. Dout, 69, of Bechtelsville passed away Saturday at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late William C. and June L. (Zook) Dout.

Dennis worked for the US postal service for twenty-two years and was a member of VFW Post 6811 in Vernon, NY and American Legion Post #0448 in San Francisco, CA. He served in Vietnam with the First Mobile Communications Group and Joint Task Force 116 in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. 

Surviving Dennis is his companion Kevin Maline;  sister Gale Youse, wife of Rodney of Sanatoga; niece Beth Ann Weinsteiger, of Collegeville; and nephews Keith M. Weinsteiger, of New Berlinville, William Weinsteiger, of Kittaning, PA, and Robert Weinsteiger, of Sanatoga.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday at 7:30 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville. Visitation will take place Thursday from 6:00-7:15 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place Friday at 10:30 AM at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perkiomenville S.P.C.A.; 1059 Sweifford Rd., Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
