John Russell McCullough, 77

John Russell McCullough, 77, beloved husband of Mary (Kathy) Hunter McCullough passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Born in Martinsburg, WV, he was raised in Philadelphia by his parents, the late Hugh McCullough and Eva (Oliver) McCullough.

As a pharmacist and owner of Professional Pharmacy, John served as a pillar of the Pottstown community for over 30 years. He loved spending time with his wife of 47 years, Kathy, and his children and grandchildren. John was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and watching Phillies and Eagles games. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous spirit, and kind heart. To know him was to love him, and the profound impact he made on those around him will live on as his legacy.

Along with his wife, John is survived by his children: Hunter Stone (husband of Stephanie), David Stone (husband of Megan), Kimberly Gross (wife of Jim), James Stone, John McCullough Jr, and Douglas McCullough (husband of Katherine); grandchildren: Kelli Spadaro (wife of Austin), Aubrey Stone, Zachary Stone, Gina Vu (wife of Johnson), Patrick Stone, George Michalski (husband of Lindsey), Morgan Stone, Kyle Michalski, Kristina Michalski, Spencer Stone, Emma Stone, Sophie McCullough, Hugh McCullough, Belle Stone, and Lily Stone; and his great-grandchildren: Simon and Luke Spadaro, Violet and Raven Vu, and George Michalski.

John is predeceased by his parents, brother Hugh McCullough, sister Barbara McCullough, and granddaughter Sydney Stone.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1st from 9:00-11:00am at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N Franklin St Pottstown, PA 19464) with a funeral service to follow. Burial will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).

Sending our condolences to the family. John will always be in our hearts. Such a wonderful man and the memories he leaves us with. I know he was one of my mom's favorites. His kindness, dedication, and generosity helped four generations of our family. He will be missed.
