With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William B. Twaddell Jr., age 86, of Stowe, PA, who passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born on December 5, 1938, in Pottstown, PA, Bill was the cherished son of the late William Sr. and Anna (Williams) Twaddell. Known for his generous spirit, unwavering integrity, and deep love for his family, Bill lived a rich and meaningful life.
In 1955, Bill proudly served as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army, continuing his service in the Army Corps Reserves until his honorable discharge. Following his military career, he worked 16 years at Firestone before transitioning to a successful role in sales with Stoltzfus RV. He then later found great joy working as a driver for Klein Transportation nearing retirement, where he thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to travel, meet new people- giving them the full experience!
Bill absolutely loved spending time with his family and his beloved pets- especially his most recent baby, Cooper. He had a true passion for cooking, always excited to experiment with new recipes and create delicious dishes that were uniquely his own. He also had a soft spot for Hallmark movies, enjoyed watching golf, and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan and proudly celebrated their recent Super Bowl win! A game of pinochle, rummy or hearts with the family was always a highlight, and Bill’s love for the outdoors was unmatched. Whether it was golfing, fishing, hunting, or his true passion—archery—he was always up for an adventure. Bill was a dedicated member of the Stowe Archery Club, where he not only honed his skills but also gave back by mentoring local youth.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. Twaddell (Sheetz); his children: Vicki, wife of Thomas Evans Sr. of Mohnton, PA; Denise Twaddell of Gilbertsville, PA; and William B. Twaddell III, husband of Wendy (Hess) of East Earl, PA. He was a proud “Pop-Pop” to Thomas Jr. (Danielle), Jessica (Shane) Smith, and Alyssa (Max) Evans, children of Vicki and Thomas; Craig McHenry, son of Denise; and Lindsay (Chris) Feger and Corey (Grace) Twaddell, children of William and Wendy. Bill was overjoyed to also become a great-grandfather to Cecilia and Rowan Evans and the most recent addition little miss Amelia Feger. His legacy of love, sense of humor, generosity and kindness will live on through his family and the lives he touched, always.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cedarville United Methodist Church (1092 Laurelwood Rd, Pottstown, PA 19468), officiated by Pastor Eric Ressler of Harmony United Methodist Church.
