Mary “Jackie” (Carr) Kriczky, formerly of Pottstown, passed away peacefully in the morning on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Frederick Living.
She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Andrew Kriczky.
Born on November 4, 1932 in Pottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Carr.
She worked as a seamstress at Sunset Manufacturing in Pottstown, PA. Jackie loved playing cards and various games. She was a wonderful seamstress and loved to cook. She was known for her nut roll and stuffed cabbage. Most importantly, she loved spending time and playing with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
We loving called her Nurse Jackie as she was the first to offer to care for family and friends near and far. She would just pack a small suitcase and show up at your door.
She was known by her favorite people as Mom, Mom mom, and Aunt Jackie. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is predeceased by her brother Edward Carr and sister Dorothy Leyrer.
She is survived by her sister Eileen Humphreys, as well as her children: Thomas - partner Debbie, Karen Zangrilli, Dennis - husband of Vicki, and Kevin.
She is survived by nine grandchildren: Joelle, Jacob, Athena, Adam, Amanda, Alissa, Denny, Rebecca, and Edward. Jackie is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11am at Catagnus Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
