Robert “Bob” C. Bentley Sr., 85, husband of the late Gly Sarah (Cleland) Bentley, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Clarence and Beatrice (Foster) Bentley.
Bob was an active member of St. Paul’s UCC in Amityville for many years. He was a model train enthusiast and coin collector. He enjoyed setting up displays. Bob was also an avid hunter in his younger years and was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved spending time with his dog, Scottie and going for walks together.
Surviving are his children Bruce Bentley, husband of Patti; Scott Bentley; and Jennifer Bentley, wife of Darryl; brother Paul Bentley; sister Linda Corcoran; grandchildren Nate, Robbi-Lyn, Eric, Ashley, Justin, Josh, Blaze, Hunter, Katelyn, and Bryanna; great grandchildren Bianca, Jared, Kassidy, Jameson, Jaxson, Ella, Ronan, and Grayson; and his beloved dog Scottie. He is predeceased by his son Robert Bentley Jr.; grandson Jared Bentley; and his sister Doris Slaymaker.
Services will be held privately by the family at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s UCC (1979 Weavertown Rd, Douglassville, PA 19518) in Robert’s name.
