Martha K. Albright, 74

Martha K. (Kuhns) Albright, 74, of South Coventry, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at her home.

Raised in East Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Catherine (Hallman) Kuhns.

Martha was a 1969 graduate of Upper Perk High school and graduate of West Chester University. She held advanced degrees in education and was employed by the Radnor School District for 40 years as a teacher. She was highly admired and respected by her colleagues who were like a second family. She was a devoted mother who was selfless beyond measure, putting forth all of her time and effort into raising her children, Dan and Cate. She did everything she could to give them the best childhood imaginable and the most valuable support through their adult years, while all but never doing or accepting anything for herself. In her later years, she enjoyed quieter times doing crosswords, watching trivia-like game shows (often making the contestants look bad!), and constantly making sure her loved ones were taken care of, happy, and had everything they needed. Above all, she loved spending time with her two precious grandchildren, Booker and Peyton, whom she adored beyond words.

Surviving are her children Dan Albright and Cate Martin, wife of Kirk; brother Curt Kuhns, husband of Judy; brother George Ritter, husband of the late Sharon; grandchildren Peyton Martin and Booker Martin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th, 2025 from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464), followed by a short service at 3:00pm. After the service, a Celebration of Life will be held at Blackjax Pub and Grill, 668 Benjamin Franklin Hwy, Birdsboro, PA beginning at 4:00pm. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the COPD Foundation in Martha’s name.

To Dan and Cate, I send my deepest condolences. Your mother was a wonderful person who I was blessed to know. While our paths never crossed in the classroom, it was always a joy to see her and be with her in the halls, the cafeteria or anywhere. Her smile will always be in my memory.

I had Marty as a teacher when I was in Middle School and hung around her througout my 3 years there. Many years later, I got to work with her and loved every second of it, even co-teaching with her for a few years! We had so much fun working together. She became my friend and I’m so sorry to hear she’s no longer with us. She always talked so highly of her kids; her love for you all was so evident! Will miss her.

Dear Cate and Dan I was so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I spent a lot of time and worked very closely with her at RMS. One of my favorite memories was the day we all spent together at Jackie Altman's house. I have some very special memories of the times we spent planning classes together. RIP Marty

I was so sad to learn of Marty’s passing…my deepest condolences to Dan and Cate and your families…your Mom was so influential in mentoring so many teachers at Radnor Middle School through those first scary days of computer use as well as being a great listener and friend. You both were her top priority through it all….May she rest in peace.

I have so many wonderful, funny memories of Marty. I always looked forward to the days when my classes were going to Computer Lab. The kids and I always learned so much. A few years later, we had classrooms attached to one another. We laughed every day! Marty made my years there memorable. I was so lucky to have such a wonderful colleague. Thank you, Marty.
