Robert “Bob” Glace Sr., 93

Robert “Bob” F. Glace Sr., 93, husband of the late Janet Mae (Taylor) Glace, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Sanatoga Center in Pottstown.

Born in Dalmatia, PA, he was the son of the late Roy E. Glace and Ada B. (Schrader) Glace.

Bob served in the United States Army in the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team as an Airborne Ranger (“Rakkasans”) during the Korean War. Following his Army service, he enlisted into the Air Force and was a Radar Operator also trained in Arctic Survival. He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands, AK for most of his Air Force career. After the military, Bob continued to serve his country and community in various law enforcement roles. He served as a police chief and sergeant-class correctional guard for many years until retirement.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved deer hunting and fishing, often winning awards at Hopewell Lake fishing tournaments.

Surviving are his children Teresa Parker, wife of Archie; Carol Amato, wife of Phil; Robert F. Glace Jr.; David Glace, long-time partner of Carol; and Donna Dean, wife of Paul; brother Paul Glace, husband of Rita; grandchildren Archie Parker Jr., Tony Thomas, Michael Glace, Rachel Casalenuovo, Bradley Glace, Nicole Jones, and Christopher Glace; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. He is predeceased by his brother Richard Glace, and his sisters Nancy Straub and Betty Straub.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with Pastor Eugene Zaiser officiating. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home.
