Marilyn (Ayres) Humphrey, 77, of Collegeville, wife of the late Parke N. Humphrey, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 6, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Ruby (Taylor) Ayres. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Laura Camp, wife of Fred, and grandchildren Lyndsay, Anna, Julia, and Ryan Camp.
Marilyn worked as a secondary English teacher in the Perkiomen Valley School District, where she also enjoyed organizing and choreographing student musical productions. She enjoyed being outdoors in nature and writing poetry. Marilyn loved all animals, especially cats, and spent a lot of time rescuing and caring for as many as she could. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending lots of time with them.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at New Hanover Lutheran Church, 2941 Lutheran Rd., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Visitation will be held from 1:30-3:00 at the church, with the service beginning at 3:00.
