John Tucker, 64, of Pottstown, husband of Peggy (Gerner) Tucker, passed away Monday June 8, 2026.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was one of three siblings, the son of the late John Howard and Kleopha Marie (Alker) Tucker. Along with his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Michael Tucker. He is survived by younger brother Daniel Tucker.
John was a carpenter throughout his life in a variety of specialties, building homes and decks and log cabins, framing, masonry work among many other trades.
John enjoyed fishing. His favorite spots were French Creek, Towpath Park and going deep sea fishing with his brother-in-laws, nephews, and son. Gardening was another favorite pastime John enjoyed. His family looked forward to his tomatoes and zucchini every year and enjoyed the fruits of his labor.
John and Peggy were best friends and their love withstood for over forty years. John and his son John worked together for many years and built a very special relationship between them. HIs daughters, Ann and Laura, were the light of his life. John was a family man, he faithfully attended all his children's and grandchildren's sporting events. He enjoyed teasing and giving nicknames to his family and close friends. He always made everyone laugh. John will be greatly missed and most remembered by his family for his sense of humor, selflessness, presence and love.
Surviving along with his wife, Peggy, is his daughter Ann Rivera, wife of Ismael; grandchildren Ava, Cristian, Isaiah, son John Tucker husband of Tara; grandchildren Lucas, Halle, and Jack and daughter Laura Samuelson, wife of Ian; grandchildren Cooper and Charlotte.
A memorial service will be held Thursday June 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00-11:45 AM at the funeral home.

John was an animal lover and his family was from Norristown. He spent a lot of time at the Elmwood Zoo with his family, children, and grandchildren.
