Susan M. (Wood) Cleaver, 72, of Douglassville, wife of Stewart A. Cleaver, passed away Friday June 12, 2026 at her residence.
Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Troutman) Wood.
Susan was a lifelong learner, creator and teacher. She taught English as a second language at the YWCA in Pottstown. She was a life coach. She published several stories in children’s magazines and loved using collage to create artworks.
Surviving along with her husband is her son David Cleaver husband of Kylene; grandson Matthew Cleaver; and brother James Wood husband of Tuti.
A memorial service will be held Friday June 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
