Thomas “Sonny” Cunningham, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Southeastern Veteran’s Center in Spring City.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Thomas Anthony Cunningham and Patrica (Jasonis) Cunningham.
Thomas proudly served in the United States Army. He was an amateur painter and enjoyed collecting guns and coins. Thomas liked watching old westerns and worked out in his younger years. He had a big sweet tooth and also liked his cheese steaks.
Surviving is his son Shawn Cunningham, husband of Jennifer; sister Patricia Rhoades; grandson Mason Cunningham; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Suzanne Miller.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 10:30AM-11:00AM at the funeral home.
