Richard S. Reigner, 94

Richard S. Reigner, 94, husband of the late Shirley A. (Neiman) Reigner, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Frederick Living.

Born in Boyertown, he was the son of the late Paul and Ella (Stauffer) Reigner.

Richard was a 1950 graduate of West Pottsgrove High School. He then proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked and retired from Firestone after 26 years. Following his time at Firestone, he worked at Boyertown Jr. High West for several years. Richard was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

Surviving is his son Jeffrey Reigner, husband of Rose; daughter Audrey Ferlino, wife of Jim; brother Howard Reigner, husband of Sue; grandchildren Paul, Jesse, and Ethan; great grandchildren Morgan and Vada; and his beloved cat Mickey. He is predeceased by his sisters Fern Davidheiser and Virginia Sherman.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave, Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with Rev. Al Giles officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Boyertown. A viewing will also be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animals in Distress (5075 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg, PA 18036) in Richard’s name.
