Peter T. Risko, husband of Deborah A. (Testa) Risko, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Pottstown.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Peter and Betty (Jobek) Risko.
Pete was an outdoor enthusiast and liked hunting and fishing. He was also very handy and creative and enjoyed listening to Blues music. He was a Lifetime Social member of Reading Motorcycle Club and could often be found tinkering on cars, motorcycles and projects around the house. In his retirement he loved working on his family farm – most often utilizing his favorite tool: his John Deere backhoe. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend.
Surviving along with his wife, Deborah, of 48 years, is his son Sean Risko, husband of Jessica; sisters Christine Lehr and Donna Warriner; his brother William Risko; and Shannon Soderlund who was like a daughter to him; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks to everyone that prayed unceasingly, sent cards and messages of encouragement and brought tasty and nutritious meals for Pete these past few months. He appreciated it from the bottom of his heart and was humbled by the outpouring of everyone’s love.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Calvary Chapel Living Word, 1301 Hilltop Rd, Pottstown, PA with visitation from 10:00 AM-11: -00 AM. The memorial service will follow at 11:00AM with Pastor Chris Schueck officiating. Overflow parking is available at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School and is a short walk away.
