Dolores “Dee” M. (Taraba) Degenhart, 91, of Douglassville, wife of Rubino C. Degenhart of 70 years, passed away peacefully Tuesday November 5, 2019 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Tresckow, she was the daughter of the late George Sr. and Julia (Nesgoda) Taraba.
A former resident of the Hazelton area, she relocated to the Douglassville area with her husband and family in 1973. Dee was a graduate of Mcadoo High School and was employed as a seamstress in the local clothing mills. She spent 25 years employed in Zern’s Farmers Market and an additional 30 years with her husband in the retail automotive tool business.
Surviving along with her husband Beno is a daughter Juleanne Landis wife of Michael O. of Pennsburg; a son Karl G. Degenhart husband of Lynn of Douglassville; five grandchildren Kaytlyn Degenhart, Kurt Degenhart, and Luke Degenhart, Michael G. Landis, Tammy Landis; a brother George Taraba Jr. of Morrisville, PA.
Along with her parents, Dee was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 10:00-10:45 at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 127 Jefferson St., Stowe, PA 19464 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM with Fr. James Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
