Donald F. McNeill Sr., age 76, loving husband of Rachel C. Desiderio, of Carver Lane, Limerick Twp., died Sunday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Phila. Pa., he was the son of the late Frank and Helen (Glasse) McNeill.

He worked for over 30 years for Westinghouse in Lester Pa., and later for the Kelly Brush Co., in Folcroft Pa., followed by working for both the Custer Bus Co., and the Sacks Bus Co., as a school bus driver.

He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War, where he served very proudly.

Donald was a sports enthusiast, particularly for all the Phila. Sports teams.  In addition he enjoyed playing the banjo, and working with model trains and airplanes.  He also enjoyed traveling, and did not mind driving anywhere.

Surviving with his wife of 52 years, is a daughter: Kathleen M. wife of Achilles J. Inverso, of Limerick Twp., along with two sons; Donald F. McNeill Jr., husband of Nancy, of Pottstown, and Richard S. McNeill, husband of Christine, of Ridley Park Pa. He is also survived by a brother; Steven Shero, of Tucson Ariz., and three grandchildren; Stephanie Loeb, Andrew McNeill, and Ryan McNeill.  He was pre-deceased by a sister; Tara Branco.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, Pa., with Fr. Paul Brandt, officiating. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories immediately following services.  Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:15 at the funeral home.
