Donald J. Iswalt, 82, husband of Virginia M. (Lakatosh), of Lower Pottsgrove, Pottstown, passed away on Saturday at his residence with his family at his side.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Anna (Gimont) Iswalt.

Surviving with his wife are daughters Mary Ann Elliott, wife of David, of Fleetwood and Patricia Boisvert, wife of Col. William, of San Antonio, TX; sister Marie Szpindor of Pottstown; brother Michael Iswalt of Gilbertsville; and grandchildren Jennifer Burky, wife of Christian, of Reading, Jessica Elliott and Sarah, Susanne, Anne Marie and Andrew Boisvert. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Joseph Iswalt.

Donald was a life member of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Pottstown and was presently a member of Blessed Theresa of Calcutta R.C. Church in Limerick. He was a member of Pottstown Area Senior Center, ST. Aloysius Senior Center, and the AARP. Donald was a WWII Navy veteran and was a retiree from the Pottstown DANA Local UAW 644. He was an avid gardener and talented draftsman.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, 10:30AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 370 South Street, Pottstown with Fr. Paul Brandt officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:15AM at the church.
