Edward A. Charnosky, 88, husband of Helen M. (Wychowanec) Charnosky to whom he was married to 58 years, of Royersford, formerly of Towson, MD, passed away on Sunday at Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home.

Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Blasaz) Charnosky.

Surviving with his wife are their daughters Susan Toppi, wife of Ray, of Schwenksville, Christine Charnosky of Lansdale, and Carol Matthai of Owings Mills, MD; son Michael Charnosky, husband of Dianne, of Annapolis, MD; grandchildren Michelle Koehler, David and Jonathan Toppi; and great grandchildren Brendan Price and Savannah and Emma Koehler. Also surviving are cousin, nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers John and Joseph Charnosky and Frank Kerns and sisters Agnes Young, Mary Dauksha and Stella Consevage.

Edward was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta RC Church. He was a WWII Army Medic Veteran receiving the Good Conduct Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge, WWII Victory Medal, a Purple Heart, the American Campaign Medal and the European, African, and Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars. He was a Chief Lab Technician at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD for 21 years, retiring in 1985. He also worked as a Lab Technician at the North Charles General Hospital in Baltimore, MD for 9 years.  Edward loved to do pencil drawing. His drawings can be seen all over Parkhouse Nursing Home where he was given the nickname “The Artist”.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 11AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta RC Church, 1228 Main Street, Linfield with Fr. Paul Brandt officiating. Burial will be private. Friends may call on Thursday from 10AM to10:45AM at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward’s name to Parkhouse Providence Pointe, Edward Charnosky Fund, 1600 Black Rock Road, Royersford, PA 19468.

Take 422 E to Limerick/Linfield Exit. Make a right at end of exit and stay in right lane. Make first right onto Linfield/Trappe Road (Beside Saturn Dealer). Travel 3-4 miles and church is on Right. (Blessed Teresa of Calcutta)

From points East:
Take 422 W to Limerick/Linfield Exit. Make a left at end of exit, go under 422 and go into RIGHT lane. Make right onto Linfield/Trappe Road (Beside Saturn Dealer). Travel 3-4 miles and church is on Right (Blessed Teresa of Calcutta)
