Esther May Gabel Dorse Van Evera, 94, wife of the late Elliott L. Van Evera, of Boyertown, passed away on Wednesday at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Mary Groff Gabel Deaves, and the late Diller Gabel.
She had been employed as a secretary for 16 years at the former Bally Case & Cooler Company of Bally prior to her retirement. Esther was a member of the Morning Star Fellowship Church of Bechtelsville, where she was a Sunday School Teacher who also headed the emergency prayer chain. Esther was also a member of the End Time Hand Maidens Ministry, and a sister of the Sons of Thunder Street Ministry in Pottstown. She was also a member of the Boyertown Multi-Service Center. Esther was licensed as an Evangelist in 1961 with a Theology Degree through Elim Tabernacle.
Esther is survived by her children; Stephen J. Dorse, III, husband of Donna in Beaumont,CA., Warren L. Van Evera, Sr., husband of Debbie, in Anmoore, WV., Judith A. Lenhardt, widow of Joseph, in LaVerne, CA., Timothy J. Van Evera, husband of Colleen, in Boyertown, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Esther was also preceded in death by her brother, Warren Gabel, and her sister, Clara Gross.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Morning Star Fellowship Church, 100 Limekiln Road, Bechtelsville, Pa., 19505, and to her Visitation on Thursday morning from 10:00-10:45 AM at the Church. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Morning Star Fellowship Church at the above address.
