Genevieve D. (Eschbach) Tascione, 88, wife of the late Joseph E. Tascione Jr., of Pottstown, passed away on Friday, Oct. 15 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born and raised in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Mary (Harp) Eschbach.

Genevieve was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family, especial her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Pottstown where she was active in their Senior Center, a charter member of Ringing Hill Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Knight of Columbus Auxiliary, Fr. Bally Council #1192, in Stowe and past treasurer of the Sydney Pollock House Tenants Association.
Genevieve graduated from Pottstown High School in 1940, was a huge Phillies fan and enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos in Atlantic City.

Surviving are her sons Joseph E. Tascione III, husband of Patricia, of Pottstown, Barry D. Tascione, husband of Cindy, of Millersville and daughter Sharon, wife of John Platchek, of Pottstown, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister Catherine Hauseman and brothers Leonard and Elmer Eschbach.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10:00AM AT St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 223 Beech Street, Pottstown with Fr. Joseph L. Maloney officiating. Burial will follow in ST. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 8:00AM to 9:30AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown.
