Helen C. (Harp) Christman, 91, wife for 73 years of Robert L. Christman, Sr., of Pottstown passed away on Sunday at Parkhouse Providence Pointe in Royersford. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Agnes E. (Fox) Harp and the late George Harp.

She was a homemaker who was an avid bowler and bowled for many years in the Senior Bowling League at Jay Lanes, and she was also a member of the Pottstown Senior Center.

In addition to her husband, Helen is also survived by her children; Robert L. Christman, Jr., of Pottstown, Barbra J. (Salata) Gerlach, of Birdsboro, Kenneth L. Christman (husband of Kathleen) of Pottstown, Ronald A. Christman, of Red Bluff, CA., Nancy L. Sumpter (wife of Franklin), of Hemingway, S.C., Helen A. Levengood (wife of Bruce) of Pottstown, her sister; Sara J. Decker, of Pottstown, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Raymond Salata, Jr., 1 sister, and 6 brothers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday, starting at 11:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown, Pa., 19464, with Pastor Bruce Levengood and Pastor Bryan Levengood officiating, and to her Visitation on Thursday morning from 10:30-11:15 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
