Homer M. Herb, “Killer” to his family and friends, 93, of Congo, husband of the late Dorothy F. (Meck) Herb, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 28 at Pottstown Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Eshbach, Berks Co., he was the son of the late Elmer and Sarah (Moll) Herb.

Homer was a WWII Navy veteran. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years until he retired in 1975.

Surviving are daughters Denise A. (Herb) Sobjak of Bally and Renae L. (Herb) Paolucci of Pottstown; sons Bruce H. Herb of Boyertown, Michael R. Herb of Bechtelsville and Steven A. Herb of Boyertown; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great-grandchild due any day. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by brother Arthur and Chester Herb.

A funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 2, 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sassamansville. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 2 from 9:30Am to 10:45AM
