James Anthony Fleming, age 10 months, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on December 12, 2010, at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Anthony was born on February 8, 2010, at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He was the beloved son of Lt. Colonel Kimberly Carla (McIntosh) Fleming, U.S.A.F., and Captain James David Fleming,U.S.M.C., of Sneads Ferry, N.C. Anthony was the answer to their prayers, and they will miss him dearly. During his time here, Anthony touched many lives, and was loved deeply by family and friends. Anthony enjoyed listening to his parents sing to him, using his red kettle bell, and being held.

In addition to his parents, Anthony is also survived by his maternal grandparents; Kathryn & Larry Loan, Billy & Jane McIntosh, all of Salisbury, N.C., his paternal grandparents; Patricia & David Petz,IV, of Lansdowne, Larry & Lisa Fleming, of Media, his paternal great-grandmother; Anne Spence, of Southwest Philadelphia, and his aunts and uncles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anthony’s Mass of the Angels on Friday, December 17, 2010, at 7:30 PM at Holy Cross R.C. Church, Bishop Avenue & Springfield Road, Springfield, Pa., 19064, with Reverend Father Daniel E. Mackle officiating, and to his Visitation on Friday evening from 5:30-7:15 PM at the church. Burial will be held privately on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa.

The family has respectfully requested that all flowers be omitted, and that memorial contributions in Anthony’s name be made to the American Red Cross National Headquarters, 2025 E Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20006, and Anthony’s family would also like to encourage everyone to give blood.
