James R. “Jim” Orandosh, 87, of Pottstown, Norther Coventry Twp., husband of Gisela (Ebel) Orandosh, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6 at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Shaner) Orandosh.

Jim was a member of St. Thomas More RC in Pottstown and was a US Air Force veteran. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking, making all type of furniture. Jim worked for Bethlehem Steel for many years a welder and at The Hill School in the maintenance department.

Surviving with his wife of 56 years are sisters Patricia Mauger and Nancy Airey; niece Robin Airey and Tara Griffith; and nephews John Orandosh, Rusty Airey, Randy Mauger, John Balogh and Frank “Butchy” Balogh. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters Virginia Balogh, Joyce Orandosh, and Geraldine Kocon; and brothers Jack Orandosh and Eugene Orandosh.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, Oct. 10, 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at the funeral home.
