Jennifer D. Care, 55, of Limerick, wife of Michael Nadwodny, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Seasons Hospice after a heroic battle with multiple myeloma.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of Doris (Marks) Care and especially loved by Carol and the late Patrick Gorey.

Jennifer was a US Marine Corp veteran. She was an active member at Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford, and was very involved with animal rescues, last working with All 4 Paws. Jennifer received her nursing degree from the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Reading, last working for the Surgery Center at Limerick. She previously worked at Dupont Medical Center in Delaware and St. Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia. She also traveled through Europe, helping start up multiple Pediatric Cardiac Hospitals as part of a team with renowned doctor, Dr. Norwood, from Dupont Hospital. Jen loved her animals, enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, going to Zumba classes at the YMCA, dancing, the beach, arranging social outings for her friends, and she especially loved all of her friends.

Surviving with her husband is son, Philip Care. She is predeceased by her maternal grandmother Philomena Marks as well as her father, Ronald Care.

A funeral service will be Monday, May 7, 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be Monday from 9AM to 10:45AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catagnus Funeral Home, 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford, PA 19468 to offset funeral costs.
