Joseph E. “Jacko” Wyrembek, 90, of Swedesburg, and more recently of Limerick, husband of the late Helene (Rafalowski) Wyrembek, passed away on Thursday at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born in West Conshohocken, he was the son of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Jawkowski) Wyrembek.
Joseph was a WWII Navy veteran. He was an avid golfer and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Joe worked for many years at Lee Tires in Conshohocken and for Upper Merion Township, until his retirement in 1987.
Surviving are children Edwina M. Monaghan, Terry M. Derby, fiancé of Malick “Joe” Kande, and Benita M. Grill, wife of Robert; sister Dorothy Koval, wife of Don; grandchildren Helene Lombardi, wife of Lou, Tom Derby Jr., husband of Sharon, Kathy Bain, wife of Sean, and Robert M. Grill, fiancé of Georgia Spanglenberg; and great grandchildren Dominique, Andrew, Desiree, Christopher, Andre and Kyla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, March 14 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a celebration of Joe’s life at 7:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Road, Royersford. Family and friends are then invited to Joe’s Limerick home, following the services, for a reception in his honor.
