Justin P. King, 18, of Gilbertsville, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14 after a tragic accident.
A lifelong resident of Gilbertsville, he was the son of David W. and Carol H
(Hagelgans) King.
Justin was a 2019 graduate of Boyertown Senior High School and went on to attend Bloomsburg University. He was an avid baseball player for Pine Forge with his favorite position as Catcher behind the plate. He was never more frustrated than a passed ball, not because he let himself down, but because he didn’t want to let his pitcher or his team down.
Justin made friends and an impression on everyone he met. From school, to his girlfriend, Savanna, to the YMCA gym after school, to Taco Bell, and on to Bloomsburg University, Justin gave everything his all, and was always there with a smile. He was a true and beloved friend to all who knew him. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Justin grew up with his loving brother, Drew and his cousins who were like sisters to him. He was surrounded by loving Aunts and Uncles.
Surviving with his parents is brother Drew King; maternal grandparents Edward and Nancy (Lineken) Hagelgans of Audubon; paternal grandfather George King; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother Margaret (Grundy) King.
