Leroy W. “Lee” Horn Sr., 76, husband of Nancy L. (Seibert) Horn of 55 years, of Douglass Twp., passed away suddenly on Tuesday at his residence.
Born in Spring Township in Berks Co., he was the son of the late Adam H. and Margaret M. (Morris) Horn.
Surviving with his wife Nancy are children Leroy W. “Lee” Horn Jr., husband of Sheree, of Pottstown, Michelle L. Gibble, wife of Timothy, of Douglassville and Craig Lamont Horn, companion of Donna, of Barto; sister Sarah DeVine of Reading, and grandchildren Timothy, Christine, Jennifer, Devon and Ryan.
Lee was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church in Douglass where he was on the church’s building team. He was a Korean War Veteran, enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting and was an accomplished carpenter and craftsman. He worked for the former Sanders & Thomas (STV) in Pottstown and later worked for RCA in Lancaster.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 11:00AM at Hope United Methodist Church, 117 Monocacy Creek Road N., Douglassville, PA with Rev. Ken DeWalt officiating. Family and friends will be welcomed from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church on Saturday, March 6. Burial will be private.
Lee had a passion for colors and our family will be celebrating this fact by wearing colorful attire. We invite you to join us if you feel so inclined.
