Lester H. Yorgey, 68, of Perkiomenville, passed away suddenly on Thursday at his son’s residence in Yardley, PA.

Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Jacob F. and Rose A. (Dellangelo) Yorgey.

Lester was a US Army veteran. He was a member of the Polish Club in Spring City and was a frequent Turf Club visitor (expert handicapper). Most important, he was a loving and caring father that will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his sons Josh, Christian and Lester A. Yorgey; brothers Jake, Sal, Herb and Bruce Yorgey; sisters Joanne Deago, Rose Hafler, Ellen Eubank and Paulette Rapp; and grandchildren Desiree and Zachary Yorgey. Along with his parents he is predeceased by his sister Catherine Villanova and his trusty canine friend Leslie.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 1020 E. Phila. Ave., Gilbertsville. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lester’s name to Foundation for a Smokefree America, PO Box 492028, Los Angeles, CA 90049.
