Raymond A. Freedman, age 78, husband of Faye L. (Merkel) Freedman of Boyertown, passed away on Saturday at his residence. Born in Pittman, Pa., he was a son of the late Gertrude A. (Lesher) Freedman and the late Allen M. Freedman.
He was a graduate of Patton Masonic Homes School of Elizabethtown, Pa., and was employed for 40 years at the Firestone/Occidental Chemical Corporation. Raymond was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 254 of Pottstown, the Scottish Rite Masons of Reading, and the Pikeville Sportsmen’s Association.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his children; Michael R. Freedman (husband of Deborah) of Barto, Crystal Grater (wife of Edward) of Barto, his two grandsons; M. Troy Freedman and Travis Ryan Freedman, two great-granddaughters, and his brothers; Lloyd Freedman, of Southampton, Pa., Felix Freedman, of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., and Robert Morbauch, of Millsboro, Delaware.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Thursday, starting at 12:00 Noon at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassville, Pa., 19518, and to his Visitation on Thursday morning from 11-11:45 AM at the Church. Burial will be held privately by his family at a later date.
