Ronald R. Rudart Sr., 82, of Linfield, formerly of Trooper, husband of the late Patricia A. (Hazlett) Rudart, passed away on Wednesday Sept. 4 at Einstein Hospital after a battle with Leukemia.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Eric and Cecelia (Gruss) Rudart.

Ron was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church in Schwenksville. He worked for the Steam Fitters Local Union 420 from 1957 till he retired in 1995.

Surviving are children Linda Straface, wife of Sam, Barbara Morgan, wife of Ammon, Richard Rudart, husband of Holly, and Michael Rudart; grandchildren Peter, Cindy, Billy, Zachary, David, Carly, Eric, Brian, Tyler, Ammon III, Rachael, Kiera, Kyle, Fiona, and Brianna; great grandchildren Kylie, Devon, Kelsey, and Billy Jr.; and long time companion Maureen Beauchamp. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his son Ron Jr.

Ron was a very social person and enjoyed being around people. He participated in many activities including golf groups, bowling, shuffleboard, card groups and was a dedicated Phillies and Eagles fan. He loved to go places, take trips, see shows, and try his luck at the casino. He was a banjo player and early member of the Hegeman Stringband and continued his love of playing in several music groups over the years. But most of all, he loved just spending time with his family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 11:00AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta RC Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville. Burial will follow in St. Augustine’s Cemetery, King of Prussia. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018.
