Vernon E. Heimbach, 81, husband of 60 years to the late Doris (Snyder) Heimbach of Gilbertsville, passed away on Friday at his home. Born in Frederick, he was a son of the late Bertha (Leister) Heimbach, and the late Thomas Heimbach.

He had been employed for many years as a welder for Palladino Brothers Company of Pottstown. Vernon enjoyed bowling, going to carnivals, country music, and spending time with his family.

Vernon is survived by 4 sons; Laverne “Chick” Heimbach, of New Berlinville, Kevin M. Heimbach, of Boyertown, Craig A. Heimbach, of Pottstown, Todd S. Heimbach, of Boyertown, 3 daughters; Ruth A. DeTurck, of Fleetwood, Karen L. Ziegler, of Barto, Tina L. Conrad, of Boyertown, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his 2 sisters; Mazie Rose, of Zieglersville, and Buelah Leister, of Delaware.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1020 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Gilbertsville, Pa., 19525. Burial will follow at Keelor’s Union Cemetery, Obelisk. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30-10:15 AM at the Funeral Home.
