Wilda Mae “Billie” (Rogers) Alford Harmon, 85, of Pottstown, wife of the late James A. Alford and Lonnie Harmon, passed away on Monday at Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home.
Born in Logan County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hobert H. and Leota Pearl (Johnson) Rogers
Wilda loved doing arts & crafts, was an avid Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan, and enjoyed all of the family gatherings. She worked at the US Mint in Philadelphia and later at the Mrs. Smith Pie Foil Co. in Pottstown.
She is survived by her sons David R. Alford, companion of Virginia Croteau, of Pottstown and James R. Alford of Schwenksville; daughters Carol L., wife of Kenneth L. Rhoads of Pottstown, B. Eileen, wife of Ronald Boone Jr. of Limerick Twp; sister Leota Davis of Pinnacle, NC, step sister Peggy Holl; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Along with her husband’s and parents, she is predeceased by her daughter Betty Elswick, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
A family gathering and a time of remembrance will be from 1PM to 5PM, Sunday, January 9th at the German Club, 52 Reynolds Ave, Pottstown.
